Mural - review
here’s some grabs from a review by Anne Heath (Porthole) said about We Don’t Need Another Mural:
Stompin’s new exciting work “We don’t need another mural” proves yet again what a diverse and contemporary company they are.
…a site specific festival style event in a hidden away urban area backdropped by a mammoth mural!
Antony Hamilton devised a work which was dynamic, abrupt, sometimes volent and also humorous. At one point cramming the whole cast into a stationary car, banging out the beats and including the car as one of the dancers in a completely recognisable (aka, cheech and chong) hoon like rocking.
Luke George choreographed a piece in colourful contrast which showed communist constraint within order and pattern recognition, with melodic unified swaying which instantly set the heart at peace.
Thanks Stompin for another wicked night out!
