dancing for BalletLab
for the last 4 weeks i’ve been in the studio with balletlab as a dancer in their new work brindabella. the work is choreographed by phillip adams and guest miguel gutierrez who joins us from new york.
this is miguel performing in his own work.
i’m having a ball making a work that uses the fable of “beauty and the beast” as a starting point. the two choreographers are in someways completely opposite in their ideas and approach, from doing bad pantomime with christmas pines strapped to our backs to urgently whispering text taken from the trashfest 80’s soap opera beauty and the beast starring linda “termintor” hamilton. the show goes up at malthouse theatre in december and should be quite a fancy! check out their stuff > phillip adams and balletlab > miguel gutierrez and the powerful people
