Last night’s performance was stunning. The dancers, lighting, sound set in the cul-de-sac wove some subtle and powerful magic and had our audience enthralled and craving more. See you there.

“…It is a wonderful concept where [Adam] Wheeler attempts to capture the inner world of his young dancers’ lives and reveals aspects of what goes on behind closed doors.  Inside the house each room presents a unique cameo of snapshot of an experience…. supported by a wonderful sound scape composed by David Franzke…

…In the Kitchen we are fed like a baby while growing tensions mount between the two parents.  In the study we hear of a girl’s experience of her first one-night stand… In the car park we see a youth express himself through a physical solo only to be subsumed by the beat of another drum as his gang arrives…

…each room holds a secret… …blur the line between what is private and public.”

Chris Rattray for Sauce Magazine recently interviewed Rhiannon about dancing in the work…

After successfully auditioning for Uncover This, Rhiannon has learnt a lot about herself.  Rhiannon explains, “I’ve learnt I’m a lot braver than I ever thought!  Part of Stompin’s process is to collaborate in developing choreography between the staff and performers.  As dancers, we workshop ideas, present them, explain them and put a lot of ourselves into them before the group.  It’s a vulnerable, risky process to put yourself out there like that.  [the show] is about uncovering the things in our lives we normally like to keep private: the awkward, embarrassing and guilt-ridden.  The inspirations for the choreography, and even the advertising material, came from us anonymously confessing these things.  Luckily the Stompin crew are really supportive, and as dancers we get on well.  So the challenges start a long time before the show does.”

SATURDAY 4 OCTOBER: PART 1 PERFORMANCE of Uncover This on Saturday 4 Octover will go ahead tonight.  Rain is not forecast but please bring an umbrella and a rain coat just in case.

FRIDAY 10 OCTOBER: PART 2 PERFORMANCE of Uncover This on Friday 10 October will go ahead.  A fine day day forecast with winds easing in the evening.  Stompin recommends bringing warm things to wear and even a cosie rug!

SATURDAY 11 OCTOBER: PART 2 PERFORMANCE of Uncover This on Saturday 11 October will go ahead.  A fine day day forecast with chance of an afternoon shower but should be clear for the with light winds evening.  Stompin recommends bringing warm things to wear and even a cosie rug!
